Celebrating Cultural Diversity
At CNRA, we celebrate Black History Month (February), Women’s History Month (March), Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (May), Pride Month (June), Disability Pride Month (July), Latino Heritage Month (September–October), and Native American Heritage Month (November).
These are vibrant celebrations that bring together staff, partners and members of the public to honor the rich diversity that defines California. Each month, a dedicated committee composed of representatives from across CNRA collaborates to curate a meaningful, monthlong series of events designed to educate, inspire and foster a deeper sense of community.
Through public panel discussions, guided hikes, social gatherings and interactive activities, CNRA staff and guests can explore the histories, contributions and traditions of various communities. These celebrations not only instill cultural pride but also create opportunities for learning, reflection and action — helping us build a more inclusive workplace and a stronger, more connected California.
