Employee Wellness Program

The CalHR Employee Wellness Program, administered by the Statewide Engagement Program, is a longstanding initiative dedicated to promoting the health and wellbeing of California’s state workforce. Through strategic guidance, training, and resources, CalHR leads efforts to help departments build healthy worksites and implement proactive wellness programs that engage employees at every level.

Each department’s Wellness Coordinator serves as a committed advocate for employee wellbeing, helping to cultivate a culture of health across state government. The program’s core mission is to empower employees and enhance their overall wellness through a variety of initiatives, including wellness challenges, health-focused events and self-guided tools that are designed to support physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
