Campus Connect invites you to Donate at the Natural Resources Blood Drive September 4th!

DWR has partnered with Vitalant to bring you the opportunity of donating blood and making a difference! 🩸Donating blood is one of the simplest ways to save lives. Whether you’re doing it for a friend, a cause, or just because you can, it makes a real impact.

Here’s how you can make the most of it:

✅ Before You Go

  • Hydrate well the day before and the morning of.
  • Eat iron-rich foods like spinach, red meat, or beans.
  • Bring ID and wear something with easy access to your arm.

💉 During the Donation

  • The process usually takes about 10–15 minutes.
  • You’ll be asked a few health questions and get a mini physical.
  • Relax, breathe, and maybe chat with the staff—they’re usually amazing people.

🍪 Afterward

  • Enjoy the snacks (yes, cookies are practically mandatory).
  • Rest for a few minutes before heading out.
  • Avoid heavy lifting or intense exercise for the rest of the day.
