Campus Connect invites you to Donate at the Natural Resources Blood Drive September 4th!
DWR has partnered with Vitalant to bring you the opportunity of donating blood and making a difference! 🩸Donating blood is one of the simplest ways to save lives. Whether you’re doing it for a friend, a cause, or just because you can, it makes a real impact.
Here’s how you can make the most of it:
✅ Before You Go
- Hydrate well the day before and the morning of.
- Eat iron-rich foods like spinach, red meat, or beans.
- Bring ID and wear something with easy access to your arm.
💉 During the Donation
- The process usually takes about 10–15 minutes.
- You’ll be asked a few health questions and get a mini physical.
- Relax, breathe, and maybe chat with the staff—they’re usually amazing people.
🍪 Afterward
- Enjoy the snacks (yes, cookies are practically mandatory).
- Rest for a few minutes before heading out.
- Avoid heavy lifting or intense exercise for the rest of the day.
