Check out CNRA's weekly Wellness Information and News Digest filled with helpful, positive information and resources to support you and your team as we navigate the unprecedented challenge of COVID, wildfires, and other impactful events we're facing together across the agency. This is intended to help "lighten our load" as we persevere during challenging times.

CNRA Wellness Gym

The CNRA Wellness Gym is Opening July 1st!

The CNRA Wellness Gym is located within the California Natural Resources Agency Headquarters building at 715 P Street  in Sacramento, California.  The wellness gym is intended for exclusive use by California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) affiliated organizations’ employees and DGS employees who are assigned to work at 715 P Street. The CNRA Wellness Gym is operated as a self-service gym.  Gym members will be given access to the gym during gym operational hours. No gym instructors, gym trainer, or gym operational supervisor are provided. Members are responsible for their own safety and for following the CNRA Wellness Gym policies, procedures, and rules.  If you have questions pertaining to the CNRA Wellness Gym, you may email thrive@resources.ca.gov.

Gym Information

The CNRA Wellness Gym offers a fitness center with various exercise equipment; including treadmills, stair climbers, spin bicycles, weights, aerobic room, rowing machines, free weights, and weight machines. In addition, the gym has a locker room and showers. Any California Natural Resources Agency affiliated organizations’ employees can become a member.  The facility may only be used before or after an employee’s scheduled shift and during the employee’s lunch. Employees are restricted from using the wellness gym facility on state time.  There is no membership fee required to utilize the CNRA Wellness Gym.

Hours of Operation

The CNRA Wellness Gym is open from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The facility is closed on weekends and state holidays.

Membership

Membership eligible is restricted to CNRA organizations’ employees and DGS employees (non-contracted staff) who are assigned to work at 715 P Street.

Eligible employees can become gym members and gain access to the CNRA Wellness Gym facility by following the steps below:

  1. Fill-out Membership Form and Sign Waiver: Fill-out and sign the CNRA Wellness Gym Membership User Agreement and Liability Waiver form found on page of this document.
  2. Submit: Submit forms via email to CNRAfitnesscenter@energy.ca.gov following this naming convention: Firstname.Lastname.DepartmentInitials. Example: “Joseph.Smith.CEC” or “Mary.Jones.DWR”
  3. Gym Access: Access will be added to your current P Street building access card (badge) or if you do not have a P Street access card one will be provided to you. You will receive an email notification when your badge gym access is activated.

To gain access to the gym, start by reading and filling out the CNRA Wellness Gym Information and Waivers.
